Men’s fashion has been around for a long time: from the high-heels and pantyhose favored by Georgians, to the ready-to-wear power ties and suspenders of the 40s, to the birth of the term metrosexual in 1994 by British journalist Mark Simpson. Menswear is anything but new. What’s new is the online menswear movement.
The growth of online menswear between 2010 and 2015 eclipsed traditionally popular eCommerce categories such as computers, cosmetics, shoes and even groceries, with an average annual sales growth of 17.4%. The total value of the global menswear market is expected to reach $522.3 billion by 2020, signaling a shift in men’s consumer habits… with no signs of slowing down.
